under the terms of Sections 13 and 23 of Italian Legislative Decreee No. 196 of June 30th, 2003, “Code relating to protection of personal data”, hereinafter referred to as “Code”, we wish to inform you:

1) that the personal and demographic information you provide to www.venicefactory.com when registering on this website shall be treated in compliance with the above “Code” and the obligations of confidentiality as provided therein;

2) that processing of personal data under Article 4 of the Decree means any operation or set of operations carried out with or without the aid of electronic instruments, concerning the collection, recording, organization , storage, consulting, development, modification, selection, extraction, comparison, use, interconnection, blocking, communication, dissemination, erasure and destruction of data, even if not stored in a database;

3) that the data are treated for institutional purposes, connected or instrumental to our company, such as storage, processing, billing, customer management and, in particular:
a) comply with legal obligations related to civil law, tax law, accounting rules, etc.. for purposes of administration of the relationship you have established with our company;
b) to fulfill contractual obligations, technical support and information, and after-sales service;
c) undertaking market and statistical research, marketing and referrals for products subject of the www.venicefactory.com;
d) (only after your expression of a specific consent) for the communication of business information on future business, announcements of new products, services and offers, both by www.venicefactory.com and/or subsidiaries, commercial partners and outsourcers, by emails sending. Emails sending will not result in any case in a transfer of personal data to third parties. This service does not monitor the sites you visit nor controls the messages you read, without your approval;
e) to enter in competitions, and promotional initiatives in general, in the interest of www.venicefactory.com’s customer;

4) the provision of personal data is needed to regularly meet contractual and legal obligations arising from relationship with www.venicefactory.com.

5) that the data:
are collected in our Database and registered to only allow access to those authorized by www.venicefactory.com;
can be treated, in compliance with the aforementioned purposes, within www.venicefactory.com or may be communicated externally within:
a) related companies, subsidiaries and/or affiliated with www.venicefactory.com;
b) www.venicefactory.com’s commercial partners (manufacturing companies, suppliers, carriers and freight forwarders, etc..)
c) companies making surveys concerning customer satisfaction.

We inform you that any person concerned is entitled to exercise the Rights referred to in Section 7 of the Code,
which is reproduced below, for your convenience:

Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, Section 7 – Right of access to personal data and other rights

The person concerned has the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or personal data concerning him or her, even though it may not yet have been recorded, and to have it communicated in an intelligible form.

The person concerned is entitled to obtain information about:
a) the origin of the personal data;
b) the purposes and the methods of the treatment;
c) the logic applied in the case of treatment carried out with the aid of electronic instruments;
d) the identification details of the owner, the people responsible and the appointed representative;
e) the people or categories of people to whom the data may be communicated or who may become aware of it as appointed State area representatives, managers or people given specific tasks.

The person concerned is entitled to obtain:
a) updates or corrections of the data or, if it should concern him or her, additions to the data;
b) cancellation, transformation into an anonymous form or blocking of data treated unlawfully, including the data which does not need to be kept for the purposes for which the data has been collected or subsequently treated;
c) a declaration that the operations referred to a) and b) have been brought to the notice, also as regards their content, of those to whom the data has been communicated or broadcast, except in the case where compliance with this is found to be impossible or involves the use of means that are manifestly out of proportion compared with the right being safeguarded.

The person concerned is entitled to oppose, entirely or in part:
a) for legitimate reasons, to the treatment of personal data regarding him or her, even though data collection may be pertinent;
b) to the treatment of personal data regarding him or her for the purposes of sending publicity or direct sales material or for carrying out market or commercial advertising research.

The owner of the data-handling is Venice Factory s.r.l., in the person of its legal representative. The data is processed using instruments that guarantee security and confidentiality. The data is stored in the database residing at the premises of the Company. The Holder has appointed a safety officer who has the task to design, implement and maintain security measures provided for in Articles 31 and 33 of Code.
