Venice Factory presents at The Venice Glass Week 2019 the collection STRAMBOTTI /Figures in a Garden.

The event takes for a walk bizarre, fascinating and mysterious forms in a suggested ‘Italian garden’. STRAMBOTTI, are characters, animals and flowers in different sizes, sometimes with a functional nature, sometimes mere objects of charm.

The collection is once again the result of the delightful encounter between the designer
Eliana Gerotto and the master glassmaker Gianni Seguso.
Together they were able to bring out the character of these figures, like the pompous Monsieur Pigeon, in a round blown glass, and his dog Fifì, in colored glass slabs.

The Venice Factory’s logo is the eighteenth century gondola taken from an ancient murrina and supported by an embroidered calligraphic flourish, an internationally recognizable symbol featuring one of the emblems of the city’s heritage.

Venice Factory is the realization of the steadfast vision of three Venetian sisters: Martina, Anna and Eliana Gerotto. From their windows over the water they have imagined new products and are now ready to market them.

Venice Factory – an insight into creative director Eliana Gerotto’s own sketchbook: her years of experience in product and interior design and her passion for the decorative arts are expressed in these collections characterized by the sleek clean lines and subtle, confidential flair that define the exclusive and precious style of the brand’s collections.

The Venice Factory collections are created for high-end positioning, timeless products finely attuned to international taste yet with a keen eye for the changing moods of fashion. The collection’s high-quality workmanship is ensured by the best Italian manufactures.

The Grand Tour collection, includes the series of wooden plates and the wood/leather jewelry collection.
The iconography recovers the Napolitan manufacture tradition of the “souvenir” in the Grand Tour context.
The costumes from the Kingdom of Naples reproduce the charm of the Bourbon jewels in micro-mosaic and of the wooden and scagliola inlays.

Eliana Gerotto signs the section on the Middle Ages to the exhibition The Magnificent Form _ HOMI 2015 and design for Venice Factory the new collection Wedding at Orvieto that will be presented here in preview .

Conceived for the exhibition, the collection addresses the theme of the Banquet in the Middle Ages. Plates, trays, cutlery, glasses and jugs of the Collection offer a starting point for a dialogue between shapes and the decoration of the Italian Middle Ages and contemporary design and offer a game between the matter, where the olive wood hand carved welcomes 3D printed objects.
